Washington DC Insiders will provide change?

by on Feb.07, 2008, under Elections, Politics, Presidency

Want change? I’ve heard a lot of talk about change needed in Washington. Why then, are we choosing as the three leading candidates, Washington DC insiders who have very few accomplishments representing change? Have Americans really become that dumb?

There are clearly only two candidates that are not DC insiders, that have significant accomplishments, and one of them (with the most accomplishments) has just dropped out of the race. These two are also governors, giving them the leadership experience needed to run a nation. The three front runners do not have any such experience. (OK Hillary was co-president, fair enough.)

In addition, the three front runners have absolutely no business experience, and no understanding of what the average working class American goes through. I commend the military service but it’s not the same. Working in courts filing lawsuits that cause job loss, is not the same as working in a business that creates and provides products, services, and jobs.

Well, I hope the liberals are happy. We will soon be left with nobody qualified to run a nation in our field of candidates. This reminds me of a movie called Idiocracy, a comedy that takes place 500 years in the future, where people are simply too dumb to think. At this rate, I think 5 years is a more realistic estimate.

John Mccain

Military officer and politician. Never worked outside the parameters of the US Government

Spent the last 26 years in the US Congress.

Political Accomplishments: passing the anti-free speech bill called Mccain-Feingold.

Hillary Clinton

Career politician, taking a few years off to sue people

Spent the last 15 years in Washington DC as First Lady/Co-President and US Senator

Political Accomplishments: 1st Lesbian First Lady, bought senate election in New York.  Unprecedented bimbo eruptions.

Barrack Obama

Career politician, taking a few years off to sue people

Illinois state senator for 8 years.

US senate for past 4 years.

Political Accomplishments: 1st politician to use the word “change” in every sentence

Mike Huckabee

Baptist minister and Governor of Arkansas, Chairman of NGA

Spent the last 15 years as Lt Governor then Governor of Arkansas since 1996

Political Accomplishments: Instituted innovative health care plan, covering thousands of children previously uncovered, and automobile licensing programs in Ark. Balanced budget, lowering income tax and raising sales taxes and fees. Left budget surplus.

Mitt Romney

Businessman and successful executive CEO of a capital/investment firm, CEO of the Winter Olympics, and Governor of Massachusetts.

Spent his entire life out of Washington DC politics

Political Accomplishments: (a few of many) Created a successful capital investment firm, helping numerous companies become a success (including Staples, Dominos, Sports Authority, creating jobs for hundreds of thousands of people. Resurrected the 2002 Winter Olympics from a huge operating deficit, organizing volunteers and an unprecedented security mobilization for the Games. Took over a $3 billion budget deficit in Mass, balanced budget and created surplus without raising taxes on individuals, instead raising certain business and luxury fees. Lowered taxes and created jobs where they were lost. Reformed educational system and health care system, getting thousands of uncovered people coverage.

Maybe it’s too late to shine this light on the American people. Or maybe they will wake up for their brainwashing and realize change comes from businessmen and leaders, not from career politicians.
